SGLI (Small Group Literacy Instruction) also takes place from 3rd to 6th Class in Lisnagry.  This is a follow on from our very successful Literacy Lift Off programme run from Juniors to Second class.

The introduction of SGLI was one of our actions on our literacy improvement plan. SGLI is a period of up to 1 hour focusing on all aspects of literacy. Children are grouped and read books targeted to their level as well as working on other activities such as writing, comprehension and word work.
