Since September 5th class have participated in lots of interesting activities. Here are some of the things we completed.
We had a great time participating in the BizWorld programme. We worked together to design, produce, market and sell tickets to our animated movie as we learned what it takes to start up and run a movie production business. We enjoyed making our own movies on GoAnimate. After we made our movies we brought in food and merchandise. We set up a table and invited 4th class in to buy our merchandise and movie tickets with BizBucks.
In art we made clay sculptures and painted them. We made pots, mugs, bowls and minions! We also had great fun making self portraits from leaves which we collected from our gardens.
Maths has been very interesting. We went around to various classes to complete a tally sheet asking the question “What is your favourite super power?” Each class had a different answer. The options were flying, super strength, mind reading or invisibility. We then put the information from our tally sheets into bar charts. We have also been working hard on long division and long multiplication.
In SESE we have completed county fact files, famous women in history projects, migratory animal projects, made butter, learnt about our family crests and the counties, rivers and mountains of Ireland.
