In September we had a lot of fun in P.E. learning how to throw and catch big and small balls.  We also learned how to dribble a basketball.

We learned how to use rulers to draw straight lines. We use them to keep our copies neat and we also use them to draw great pictures.

 

 

We learned about trees in Autumn and how they lose their leaves.  Then we wrote these lovely stories about it.

 

 

 

 

 

In October we looked at colour and light.  We used torches and different coloured plastic to mix colours.

We also used paint to make different colours.  We were amazed how many new colours we could make from red, blue and yellow mixed together.

 

We studied shapes in Maths and then we went around the school on a shape hunt.  There are lots of different shapes around our school.

 

Dressing up for Halloween was fun.

 

 

 

 

We have been doing gymnastics in PE. We are very good at rolling, jumping and balancing.

In maths we learned how to measure the length of things.  We used our hands, feet, straws, cubes and rulers.

We are very good at lining up in the yard.  We won the line of the week trophy.

Air can make things move.  We did experiments to see what things we could move with our breath.

Winter is here and we had great fun doing our winter paintings.

We are counting down to Christmas with our Advent calendar.
