Lisnagry NS has been awarded a Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence for the 2016/17 academic year. A Plaque of STEM Excellence is the highest award that a school can achieve and commends Lisnagry NS for deeper engagement, whole school involvement and external science engagement in Science and Maths Programme for 2016/2017 academic year.

A huge well done to all our pupils and teachers for engaging in such a wide range of activities and events every year. Classes participated in Maths Week, EU Code Week, Science Week, Engineering Week, Robotics and many more projects and activites.

It is fantastic to see all of the science, technology, engineering and maths work being carried out in the school with such enthusiasm. Well done everyone – such a great achievement!

There are many activities in our school that involve the STEM subjects and we are presently putting a plan together of how we will co-ordinate  our STEM teaching in all classes over the coming years.
