Following the introduction of our Health Promotion School’s Committee earlier this year, one of our first  actions was to review our School Healthy Eating Policy. Our Committee was established involving pupils, parents, teaching staff and an  expert in childhood nutrition Dr. Evelyn Hannon was also on hand with advice.

Our objective in  reviewing  the Healthy Eating Policy was to  consider national healthy eating guidelines & good practice and the feedback from the school community in order to produce a revised and updated Healthy Eating Policy.Thank you to everyone who completed questionnaires as the valuable feedback helped inform the committee.

That work has been completed and a revised policy has been drafted. We will be launching our new policy on the 24th March at a very special launch Day in the school halla. 5th class pupils will also launch their cookbook on the same day. You are very welcome to attend. We will have lots of activities taking place in the school  for all the classes to promote healthy eating.

You are invited to review the Revised Healthy Eating Policy in the policies page of the school website under the parents section or alternatively click on the link below.
