The 100 word challenge is a weekly creative writing challenge for children where a prompt is given, which can be a picture or a series of individual words and the children can use up to 100 words to write a creative piece. This week the challenge was to send a message to the world via Peaky the Ohbot. Well done to Abbey Robertson in 5th class who was nominated for the special showcase with this great piece of writing.Keep up the great work Abbey

Greetings humans of Earth! My name is Ohbot Peaky.

I would like to give a message to the world. I have a very strong opinion towards racism. I believe all races should be treated the exact same way. They shouldn’t ever be referred to as ”a group.” Racism could lead to permanent damage. Imagine only girls could go to church, that black haired people were forbidden to play, or people with brown eyes. couldn’t eat on Thursdays. Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?

When you are being mean to someone who is different to you, why is so hard to picture if they were being mean to you? Why don’t you take some time today to say something nice to someone who’s different from you?

Show racism the ”Red card.”
