On Saturday 7th December, 36 boys and girls from 4th,5th and 6th classes had the opportunity to go to City West in Dublin to sing in this year’s Hallelujah Concert. This is a concert where thousands of children come together from all over the country to create an enormous choir. Special Guests at the concert included Seo Linn, Connie Talbot and Tabby Callaghan. The children sang many songs including  musical memories, electricity, grease medley and never do a tango with an Eskimo.  A song was also added in the schedule at the end of the concert paying tribute to the late Nelson Mandela. On the day of the concert we had to leave very early at 7.15 because there was a lot of rehearsing to do before the audience arrived and the concert began at 3pm. We had our school banner with us so the parents in the audience could see where we were. We were all delighted with how the children behaved and performed. They were a credit to the school. Thanks very much to Ms Bourke and Ms. Blake for all their hard work preparing the children for the occasion. A great day was had by all! Our choir will also perform some of their songs for the school on the afternoon of Thursday 19th December. This day will also give an opportunity for parents who could’nt  make it to Dublin to hear our wonderful choir! Below are some of the photos of what was a fantastic concert.
