New Primary Language Curriculum

As you may be aware, there is a new primary language curriculum currently being rolled out. The NCCA has developed two information leaflets answering key questions from parents about the new curriculum. Below is a link to access this information.

  • Website: Help My Kid Learn: This website provides lots of simple ideas that you can build into your day to help them learn more. Resources include card games and hopscotch that help to practice maths, to children’s e-books and apps for reading. Activities and ideas are arranged by age.

Anti-Bullying

  • Túsla: Coping with Bullying – For Parents of Children Between 6 and 12 Years. This booklet is for parents of children aged 6 to 12 years who are being bullied and for parents of children who are bullying others. It gives information on the reasons behind bullying and how you can help your
    child if they are being bullied or are bullying other children.
  • The tacklebullying.ie website, which was developed by the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre (ABC) at Dublin City University, provides information, support and advice for students, teachers and parents on how to recognise and deal with bullying behaviour and allows teenagers to share experiences with their peers online.
