March 13th 2016 was a special day for the boys and girls who represent Lisnagry on the Gaelic football pitch. They made history by winning the  Cumann na mBunscol Mini-Sevens County football titles in UL. What a wonderful achievement to have both our boys and girls crowned County winners on the same day. Both teams gave  absolutely fantastic performances from the very second the whistle blew. They portrayed high levels of skill and determination throughout the games.

Our girls defeated Drumcollogher and Bruree before overcoming strong opposition in  city neighbours Monaleen in the final match.

Our boys played against the south champions Glenbrohane, west champions St Senans from Foynes before meeting Mungret in the final. In a thrilling contest Lisnagry came out on top by a solidary point.

We are very proud of all our girls and boys who thoroughly deserved their victories. A special word of thanks must go to Ms. Copse Ms Carroll and Mr Raftery for all the coaching over the last number of months.

The victories were a fitting reward for all the hard work.

A historic day for the school and one we will all remember.
